Aria - [A] Wait for me
I have a new shiny DSLR baby :333 !! It's so liiiight.. and so prettyyy.. and it's currently charging. lol.

Though typically, yesterday, the day before I cave in and buy it for Uni (and for shinier photos), my beloved Olympus Mju 700 dies on me!! ;___; it whirrs and clicks and the lens sorta spazzes and then it gives me an angry error message.
I took it to the shop I got my D60 from today and asked about repairs, but it'd cost over £100 to fix it and lets be honest, cameras nowadays, you can get a decent one that's even higher spec and quality than the my old Olympus for that. I well.. just can't afford to buy a new one or to repair it atm after buying the D60.

It wasn't the best little camera.. but I will miss it so!!

Hehehe, welcome to being a Nikon shooter!

I've got the D50 with an 18-55mm kit lens and a seperate 18-200mm VR lens, and I've gotta say I love them. I've had opportunities to play with Canons, and I've found them to not 'feel' right. Hard to put a finger on it, but they just aren't as nice to hold and use as my D50.

Next step for me will hopefully be the D90. That looks like a fairly awesome piece of kit. But it's also far too much for me to afford right now :(

Oooh a D50 eh? I know someone on a forum who has a D40 and swears by it, so it was decided from day one that I wanted a Nikon. The photos I've seen from them are just so much nicer than any other DSLR cameras I've seen.

The D90 looks very snazzy. It's still scary to think you can get better than the earliest Nikon D series though considering the photo qualities you can get from them. Good luck saving for one though, I can't even imagine the sorts of photos you can get from an even better camera!

Hmm.. I just created one now, but there's nothing up as of yet! I'll probably post the link once I've got some new photos up ^^

Nice choice!

I just upgraded my compact camera instead of upgrading my still-alright FinePix S6500fd - I'm now carrying a Lumix FX-35 around with me, which takes surprisingly good shots despite the lack of control. Definitely better than the Samsung L50 it replaces.
